Hello I am a PC gamer,you can normally find me floating around on empire total war but I mostly play mods for Star Wars Empire at War : Forces of corruption. The game which I currently play the most would be Republic At war which I am currently making youtube guides for the republic (No I'm not a member of staff, I just like making videos of games which I play commonly). My main reason for saying the CIS is hard to defeat is space (sometimes) is not because of the fighter advantage but because of the structure of their fleet, for example you can see the jump between Fighter- Frigate- Cruiser- light Cruiser- Heavy Cruiser- Capital ship. With the Republic it starts at fighter- Small frigates (anti fighter units)- (light cruisers) Acc-1 and dreadnought- Then capital ships. This means that they can pack their fleet with my extensive units while with the Republic you can rely on either dreadnoughts or 40 odd Accs.

I have found the only tactic to fight the droid fighters is to buffer. When you first start the the Republic, pause the game and build all the mines and resource things as soon as possible ans then build from the bottom up, make anti fighter units as much as possible, then anti cruiser units and finally capital ships. That way you may lose 1 or 2 planets at the start but by the end the fighters just can't handle the fire coming from Republic units.


However, even with those kinda of tactics I believe the Republic Venators should carry a lot more fighters than they do and the Lucrehulks, as much as they are carriers should carry less fighters.

I am sorry but its an excuse and a legitimate one. I had 20 ships which by the tech tree say they are good for taking down enemy fighters. When deployed, it soon became clear that they were not up for the task, the simple reason that was even with my fighter support, lucrehulk simply produces more ships than my fighters could handle. As someone who actually serves in the navy, I can say that numbers mean everything, if the enemy had 400 fighters and you have 100. They will run rings around you for hours until you simply get over run. Meanwhile my Venators are getting attacked by bombers (the fighters there to protect them were being wiped out by the swarm making them ineffective to say the least. Across the battle, my anti fighter ships were also getting it by bombers like mad, their fighter support was slowly being depleted and they (the ships) were under heavy bomber attack also, soon my venators were destroyed, along with my support ships. Why? My numbers didnt match in the field. Simple, now bug off with your ignorance.

Just played this for the first time in a while, plenty of escort ships good for shooting down CIS fighters...still lost every battle though (due to CIS fighter supremacy).

It's nearly the exact same model as far as I can tell. The only difference is the bulbs from the top of the command bridge.

It was much stronger than an ISD MK I apparently and the reactor on Hoth which fueled the Ion cannon was from a Preator star destroyer.

Herp derp.

1. There are several empire at war units which can go into enemy space without setting off a space/land battle. These are called recon units.

2. Very true but I bet if a C.I.S army tried to attack him, he would have plans to stop them. This guy is not a tard, give him credit. He could have had his cloak up and face covered and no one would be the wiser.

Yeah, the AT-TE's and LAAT's were from the start of the clone wars yet we dont get them that early, does truly suck when the CIS gets AAT's from the start.

I could say the same about a few Sepy warships such as the carrier and a few of their lower class cruisers. The Republic might have fighter problems but it also has lack of upper tier warships which are cost effective, the venator should be a tech level 3 while the ISD and Tectors should be 5 since they can deal out a lot of damage while being thick armoured and taking very little.

The Tector is a clone wars era warship. The hanger had been replaced with armoured plating which would make the ship stronger and please dont be so condescending about my point,be logical about a ship which instead of having a hanger has EXTRA armour to protect it, what use is that? erm, let me think...how about going toe to toe with larger warships while taking little damage?
