Sent. I thought at first it may be due to Black Tower being only present in the problematic town, but I did try upgrading the Green Towers in the other ones and they still kept the growth bonus.
Yes, this fixes the stuttering, though the crashes still occur (the 2 known in Sorceress town+periodic random ones). Going back and comparing to HotA, that one already had <Sys.CPU.ReduceUsage> = 0 by default in the HD mod, so I never had the stuttering issue there. 1 makes HotA stutter as well so your mod is clearly not at fault here.
I presume it's due to the lack of GDI HW acceleration on Vista+, so the CPU has to draw the entire 1080p screen... probably it's much more efficient on XP, also the game doesn't run on 7/10 at all without the HD mod, am I correct in assuming that you did all development on XP or older machines?
I also came across a weird "0" gnome stack inside a computer sorceress town that moved once, never did anything else and wasn't listed on the casualties screen after the fight. Also in that same game found a Battle Garb of Anduran guarded just by a stack of 11 Giants (that joined me), that was apparently even buffed to give +9 to all stats in addition to already giving max moral/luck and expert town portal? Absolutely game breaking... by the way, the artifacts system currently makes no sense at all and should be redone to match H3, with the cursed artifacts being a special class that just stays unequipped.
