Oh my god Mik that looks amazing! Do you have any plans to overhual the weapons like in x3? Can you share any details on your plans for capital ship interiors and balance?

This works actually. And since logistical in game items like turrets and engines are bounded by bones designated on a model, Mik should have no trouble adding them to existing models. They're literally keywords parented to a point on the model, the game takes care of the rest really.

Ohhh boy, X4 for November 30th. From what i've heard online at Egosoft, and from a curator, X4 is going to be easier to modify than previous X titles Mik. It should be as easy as drag and drop. Ships are packaged similar to X3 and now you can even add customization nodes, because from my understanding virtually every ship can be customized in some way. The new 3d map tech looks amazing and it's nice that we don't have to load anymore between sectors which means there is some form of memory compression, we might see a new load on demand system in place for larger ships. Speaking of larger ships, it also looks like the Executor SSD might actually be able to function because of the new weapon system. I think weapons are no longer tied to that ****** 14km limit.

There really isn't a campaign for the imperials. In X3 AP the focus of the story was on the argon alliance rather than the terrans. Terrans had their spotlight in x3:tc. I kind of wish Mik would make a custom campaign and just ditch the old one as it's not very "Star Warsy". Hell, he could even make up his own story. Maybe a "what if" scenerio where the rebels lost the final battle against the empire and got pushed back.

Alright Mik, i've tested the newest version. And i've gotta say you've really outdone yourself. The detailing on the Nebula Class Destroyer is amazing, and the new balancing for some of the ships is great.

Alright, i don't know what exactly happened but the codea libraries seem to have broke at least for me. Not sure if i installed them correctly as the tutorial i read was in German.

You need both TC and AP to run this mod. Do not buy the pack with both of those through steam because it contains different versions of files that the mod uses, and it will not run.

Mik let me know that the turrets in x3 are limited. If you wanted more guns for your ship then i would propose three variants of each laser in the game. Lets take a Kx10 for example.
Kx10 Version 1 = A turret or gun that spawns 1 laser.
Kx10 Version 2 = A turret or gun that fires multiple lasers in succession.
Kx10 Version 3 = A turret or gun that fires multiple laser in rapid succession.

Each version looses accuracy as it goes on but increases in rate of fire without any weight/class/energy changes. Just a thought. Obviously this wouldn't work for some weapons, but i would envision this working solely for ships that are supposed to have some some varying degree of weaponry that are severely lacking it.

You're going to need to need more than 1 trader to gain substantial income. Try it this way.

Go to a station or complex somewhere, look at their asking prices for resources. Set your trader's home to that station and set it to sell for greatest price. Crystals and Microchips sell like crazy and give you about 50k-100k/in game hour. It's a good way to start out safe trading.

Also there's a mod for X3 called "OK traders" that acts as a mini universal trader.

Starts with: Any xenon N,M,L,XL,P,Q. 50,000 credits. Hated by Xenon.
