Until The Third and the Seventh, I had never really payed attention to many camera details in the 3D setting beyond a few simple settings like focal length.
With some help I rigged a camera with some controls, lit a simple 3D scene, and did a test render using mental ray, changing the focal settings.
I'll do a few more renders with hopefully improved settings and see what other effects can be had. I've seen the bokeh effect done using maya before, so I know all is possible.
