It looks really good, but I fear it is a long way off.
I'm also hungry for any news on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

Those are the best sort of moments, and sum up just how good this mod is. I just discovered how powerful the .357 rounds are, when fighting a couple of giants. By next thing is to test out the different pistols, which I always buy/repair, upgrade, hoard ammo for, then stick in my stash and never use.

I just reloaded my save after some chores, and went back to the plant entrance again. Four chimeras this time! And thirty or so zombies. Easily my favorite area in the game. just need to beat those pesky burer.

There must have been 60-80 zombified stalkers, izlom, and zombies around the entrance to the jupiter plant. It was like a shooting gallery, and a lot of fun. Had to go back to drop off loot twice, as there were mercenaries, freedom, and bandits on the way there. Oh, and two pseudogiants.

I knew about the 6% armor scraps assist item, I've used them before; you can also find them on enemies. They cannot be used independently though, which means I think my original point is still true (which was armor pieces below a certain amount cannot be repaired by the player, unlike the weapons, which use broken down weapon parts). Also, from what I can tell, breaking down armor is rarely a cost effective option, it's better to sell armor in a good condition, and break down very poor ones (such as the aforementioned duty bunker reward armor which cannot be reasonably repaired in the current game version).

I did not know armor scraps could be used like the weapon parts, will give that a go, thanks.

I assumed correctly in that you just have to wait a little while after doing the last mission. It triggers with the message just outside of the train station, in the same way you get the message from owl for the prototype svarog.

You have to do ALL of the options, I believe, in order to get the level IV armor for free. From what I can remember, it's the Duty quartermaster's PDA from early game/negotiate for Strider's squad/enlist guards for the scientists after the ambush in the plant after picking up the documents/give the Duty leader's PDA after the owl 3 veles detectors mission and finding the missing squad.

It involves finishing several side quests which is actually quite a lot of work.

Unfortunately the bunker Duty suit is almost useless, as the condition% is below repair kit level and is crazy expensive to repair with the technicians. They may have changed this though.

Do you still get the heavy armor for doing all of the Duty choices? I can't remember when it unlocks...

Nailed it. I had carelessly installed v2.1.1, was still on my drive from 2014. Thanks Jasper.

So I reinstalled MISERY after some time away. Did the weapon breakdown feature get removed, or have I done something wrong? I uninstalled COP from steam and manually deleted the files in my C drive. The game runs great otherwise.

The only complaint I had with tushkanos was just that they were kind of rare, and only spawned in small numbers. Would the engine struggle with say 6-10?

I've managed to **** my save games as well, probably by not paying attention to the save game rules. I was scrapping with the the hordes of enemies in the Jupiter plant (and loving it) and decided to call it a night. When I went to load my game the next day, all of them were corrupted. Can the save, itself, be saved?

I know what you mean. I got a mob of 6 Burers and an army of zombies and zombie stalkers, then 3 bloodsuckers turned up. This was near the entrance, god knows what is hiding further in...

Thanks. I have always liked the idea of using these weapons, but there is little incentive to use and repair them, since the good quality ones are just as available. I get that they can be used in emergencies or when starting out on black road, but maintenance is expensive and equal in cost to superior weapons. I might repair one up to use, just because, haha.

Do the (worn) weapons have a lower chance to jam, and the (corroded, neglected etc) a higher chance?

Ah, I was just venting. I finally got it to download after around 5ish hours. Got an hour or so of play in before getting an hour or so's sleep before work. :( I love the new inventory look, and am currently trying to find the elusive lighter for my ciggies. It was saying 20+ hours download time before and It wouldnt let me pause and restart downloads between shutdowns, it just said failed and I had to restart...
