The Chaser Shot was arguably the best weapon in the game, this weapon fired small green shell like things that spead out and "chased" all the enemies down until they were destroyed. Two chasers or "The Stars" were prehaps the most effecive weapon for "severe ownage of all enemies big or small" depending on your fighting style, while not very powerful per individual hit, their numbers more than make up for this, they have a 360 degree fire arc, spreading out attacking all the enimies on screen, and sometimes will even just fly around you when there are no enemies on screen, so you can be sure, they got your back.
Chaser Shot + Fire Shot gave you the ability to control a stream of fire and move it around the screen at will like a Flame Alchemist, worked well with Gunstar Blue (Fixed Shot) not so hot with Gunstar Red (Free Shot). Chaser Shot + Lighning shot, gave you a rapid and constant homing Laser that tracks targets one at a time at very high speeds and was resonably powerfull too.
