Looks really awesome. But I do have one issue: When I fire a rocket or bfg shot into the water, the game freezes unexpectedly. I had to restart my pc and start from scratch. I copied the files from the Zandronum install folder, and pasted them in a gzdoom 2.1 folder. Because for some reason, in the opening story level, the opengl effects in Zandronum crashed the game. It could be that my computer doesn't support that type of opengl in Zandronum. Could this be addressed, or no?

It doesn't seem to work in the first version of BD64. Will it not be supported there? I have set the high res textures to "yes". The textures look amazing, btw.

Definitely brings back memories from when I first played the console version of Doom 64. The only issue I have with it is the music is slightly distorted, making that sort of crunchy sound. But overall, nice work! :-)

As usual, the sprites for this thing are fantastic. I've always liked Doomguy5th's sniper rifle from IB. This one with its m55 upgrade is an essential tool for long range targets. Love the IR scope, and the weapon specials are crazy! The one that really strikes me is the Nitroglycerin tipped rounds. Those are badass, all the way! Nice work, bud! :)

I see. Well I just figured maybe I'd sum up the unknown in PB. But other than that, its really cool. I'm just about finished playing the levels, as I've had when I started playing the console version of it. It'd be nice though if we could see some glory kills from the nightmare monsters. But I don't hold that against it. Keep up the good work, man! ;)

D31M0Z5 said earlier that when picking up the blue keycard in PB and the door wouldn't open, I confirm that statement. I've used it on some of the older dev builds of gzdoom. And I still had the problem with the door not opening because the msg continued to say "You need a blue key". That's the only issue, though. Despite that, it still looks awesome. Kind of a pre-dose of BD64 to come.

I noticed something as I was making the switch playing with the D4 weapons and their upgrades. When I picked up the D4 shotgun with charged burst, it did good. But when I went to pick up a dropped upgrade for it, I tried pressing the weapon special. But the "Attachment Deficiency" msg popped up. Immediately I thought maybe picking up the upgrade by itself would do the trick, but it went straight to the charged burst attachment. The msg still popped up. Any thoughts?

Thats fine. I've thought of just playing around with it in the lite version since it won't be an addition. And yeah, the sounds and sprites go absolutely well with it. But its no biggy! I'm not that much into seeing a redo of the bfg-18000. I'm just hoping how well the mod will turn out once you release it. And I'm also hoping you'll bring back the other bfg's.

The old BFG-18000 that you used in the lite version of IB? And in fact I'm wondering if you'll add all of the bfg weapons into v4.0. If I had a screenshot of that particular bfg, I'd share it in the comment section. But I'll work on bringing that up at some point.

Btw, in the lite version of v3.8, I liked the sprites and sounds of the super powerful BFG you added. It may sound like over-loading the marine with weapons of massive proportion, but will it also be added in v4.0 with the other bfg's, or are you planning on leaving that one out?

Not to be a picky player, and its a bit out of nostalgia I know. If its possible, could you use some of the backgrounds of the EX version? They remind me of some of the ones added in the n64 version. It would be awesome if they were.

Although, I do want to point out some things. I did a weapons pickup test to check for bugs, and I found a couple. When I selected to summon, picked it up and selected it, the 94 disappears. Then when I found the aks-50 and selected it, the ak-47 disappears. I just thought I'd point out some unknown bugs that appeared after I started up the game. I used the starter pack btw, in case your wondering which platform I used to launch it.

It takes me back to when I first started playing Russian Overkill. The weapon itself was a revolutionary breakthrough in Saw technology for the average vodka-drinking soldier in-game. I still play it at times when I feel under-powered. The machine always had the launching blade that put a smile on my face when I see it skimming in mid-air towards its target.

I know this is a test mod, but just wanted say that this is an awesome mod. Definitely a favorite of mine. All the options setup for it is truly spectacular, especially the settings for the arsenal, upgrades, and in-game options as well. Not to mention the addition of the Doom 16' weapons. And the scenery and music for the start menu is very cool as well. Very nicely done, master Doomguy5th! ;)

Sounds good. Do what you can. And if it isn't possible, then that's fine. I just figured maybe the pulse cannon could be a great addition to the marine's arsenal. But no rush. After all, waiting for development of a mod like this can be a big difference in the long run. :)

I also have a proposition: If you could create a mod for the Pulse cannon, the one that one of the marines carries in Project Brutality, I'd like to see that in action. When I first summoned a marine with a pulse cannon, I thought "I wonder if one of the guys on moddb could create a mod of the PB Pulse Cannon, if its possible." Just a thought. I'm curious to see if it'll work.
