Unless this update added more, that ability Is only for one of the Xwings. If the ship isn’t compatible then it crashes.

Fixed the issue. Delete only the reshade folder, leave res. And reshade. In the main x3 folder. This way the message can say the reshade was successful and it disappears. Without the reshade folder it has nothing to run off. At least I think so..haven’t noticed and lag/frame rate issues.

In my new games I use the cheat package to add a stock market to whichever main hub I visit first. Do the entrance fee/quest and it works fine. Just a work around I use.

It's there. Bastion has a E W And S gate. Used it to link up with corporate sectors. (Source) Attempted a take over of the sector, imperial destroyer XL kept me at bay. RIP two assault mark II's. Sector is also fairly large, find the imperial shipyard and you'll almost be right at it.

Star Wars galaxies emulated server has been up since mid 2000's and has a continuous base of +-1000 players online at once. It emulates 14.1 and has everything from theme parks, Jedi, corvette, etc, except for JTL (coming soon). There's also "basement servers) with people who have their own versions of Swg such as non SWG content and different publishes. Also free, granted you still have your old SWG CD's.

To add, looking at where the docking port would be, can see through the ship. It has the areas for the hangar but the textures/skin are not there, and looking through the bottom of the ship you can see through and out the back where the engines should be.

This mod is absolutely fantastic. I get to fly around In a Y-Wing, fend off TIE fighters and of course create trade networks, build stations, defend sectors, find abandoned ships, launch boarding parties, etc! Amazing work, I have not had this much fun with a space game since SWG was shot down and with it the Jump to Light speed expansion back in 2011.
