Well to be fair it's more about the textures than the models. All Mark 2 and 3 and other Heresy era parts, as well as the Ultramarines-specific bits, are entirely custom jobs while the rest is based on stuff ported from Regicide - it's the coloring and surface detail that really make these guys.

Remember when the Ultramarines were just a throwaway joke name in Rogue Trader?

The remembrancer who took this holopicture grew 50 extra pair of testicles.

On their chest, medicates aren't sure how that happened and the rememberancer was sent to a special clinic for... 'testing'.

The phalerae are a very cool idea. And I'm very much liking the central helmet as well.

Thanks. The helmet's forehead armor and side flaps, the parts that give it that imperial galea look, are actually a separate part that I can use with any Mark 4, 6 or 7 style helmet, including the Ultras' own Praetorian pattern.

Can't take the Aquila on the helmet's faceplate seriously. As if a bird flew into their face and got stuck. Looks like a big golden mustache, too.

That's probably one reason why Forge World included only the wings on the HH "Invictarii" helmets. Doesn't explain why the actual Suzerain still have the full bird tho.

Joazzz, I'd really like to see what you can pull out of your hat if you ever try to make Thunder Warriors or any other Unifcation Wars era soldier. There aren't many GW or Forge World models on those, but there's official GW artwork which would serve as an inspiration.

Keep up the great work in any case!

I might try that at some point, would be an interesting challenge at the very least.

The boys posing for the camera.

In addition to stuff that the tabletop models have, I also made a few more Roman Empire-style parts. I felt like they'd spice them up nicely.
