Warhammer is pretty juvenile stuff. I was like 14 when I discovered 40k. But sh*t like this is definitely not what appeals to the young nerds out there.
Juvenile? I never understood that point of view. It's just another form of entertainment.
It's certainly brash and over the top, there's no doubting that. But I wouldn't call it wholesome family entertainment, suitable for kids. Watering it down doesn't change the source material.
It can be a risky move messing with a well established franchise.
And GW seem to have ****** a lot of people off over the past few years with their business practices.
There's already a negative image associated with tabletop gamers. Your own post makes that pretty clear. Diet 40k isn't going to help much.
And that's coming from someone who's never played a tabletop game in his life.
Watered down? It's not watered down. This is just straight up ********. The blond kid is a traitor to the guard and an undercity ganger who would be executed quite publicly by the Departmento Munitorum. The black chick is a xenos loving heretic who would be handed over to the inquisition for centuries of torturous mind-rape and the bald **** is a straight up heretek inventor.
*Starts singing "Another One Bites the Dust"*
Too soon? XD
Quite fitting for the deaths of heretics and traitors.
Their deaths were quick hopefully. Imagine if a Chaos Marine that subscribed to Nurgle or Slaanesh got ahold of them.
Slaanesh? I've seen that hentai.
Ah, you mean shadman, gotcha.
What the sod was GW thinking? Warhammer 40k is not a child's tale.

Went AWOL on the Guard? That's a blammin'
