History: By modern galactic standards these ships are fairly small, slow, and ungainly. However, what they lack in size and speed they make up for in sheer power and (often) numbers. While their ancient counterparts lacked shields the modern Derriphan is not only shielded, but the heavy armor the Derriphan was known for has been maintained. Despite its low weapons count, this ship is capable of surviving a one-on-one assault against a capital ship, though - without it's fighter compliment - it isn't likely to 'win' such an encounter.
Hey I fought those on Oraw for eaw foc! In my opinion, THEY SUCK!! but I respect the decision of the dark lord.
in ORAW they are used as meatshields, hence the heavy armor and low weaponery.

SSDs in FoC suck to but for real they dont.
