Self-interest is the underlining philosophy of all actions aimed at maximizing reward and minimizing pain. So, what follows from this fundamental unshakable belief is that you should always search or fight for gaining your corner of the resources within your chosen location you wish to be in, and sometimes what you must do despite of the circumstances you find yourself in and must endure, both though are about seeking an advantage and to achieve what you wish. Self-interest then means that we should only seek to do what we can to seize opportunities and gain achievements worthy of your title, or in other matters of survival, endure what we must for as long as circumstances you wish to escape from remains an ever-present burden, like the elements, hardship, great difficulty or the opposition of other men. We always do what we can, whatever it takes, to act with understanding of our abilities to achieve a goal that fulfills passion or desire which we can tap into for greater strength, that means also that we must be aware of our passion or desire and know the extent of our abilities, it starts with basic facts about ourselves and then organizing and charting a direction, to that end we need courage, determination, and energy to carry out what we wish to or our will, the intellect to understand all that is needed to overcome opposition, and the strength to withstand what opposition and difficulty is likely on the charted course through the ability to resist pressure or force.
