Don't you think they would rather work if they had the chance, than be a starving and homeless person?

In fact, no I don't. People will always try obtain more for less. This is why the welfare system in canada is so much exploited. Trust me, I know a lot of people who do. In any case, should they not be searching for a job rather than saying stupidity in the street?

Greed doesn't come from capitalism, it come from our human nature.

It is just a paltry excuse. People learns, they can improve themselves, they can change the world and conquer the space. Exactly this makes us different from animals, who can only eat, defecate and copulate.
You are trying to justify capitalism, saying that people are bastards from their nature. Of course it is not true. You know the difference between a normal person and an idiot? Normal one will say: "That guy is better than me, this means that I should do my best to become better in my job!" while idiot will say: "Hey! Do you see that scum? He is 10 times worse than me, so why the hell you call me bad? Get out!".
Progress. Development. Improvement. All our existance is an endless way to perfection. And capitalism is not interested in progress. Really, why do I need progress if I can have high profits even with slave system?

Very true for most of it, but you are defending communism on the same basis that I am defending capitalism. You think that people can improve and are good from their own nature and I do not.

*Needed more space*
One statement doesn't invalidate the other but there isn't a ultimate proof to support one of these two. You see "under payed" worker as slave, we see it as a beginning and as a system for repartition of wealth based on efforts which communism fails to do. For example, japan was a poor and dysfunctional country before the second world war, after they became one of the G20. You see our method as exploiting but we see yours as unfair and dictatorial. Nothing is perfect but I believe that capitalism is better and if we look at "the great communists nations" they turn out to be warmongering(either with other nations or with their citizens) and eventually destroyed their economy the exception being china which doesn't obey the strict laws of communism anymore. Greece is on the edge of defaulting for two reasons. The first being the government has spent enormous amount of money when they adopted the Euro. The other reason is, the population were escaping the taxes. They are capitalist for the time being, albeit it's wouldn't be different in a communists nation. Those who do work would still be penalized by those don't. Also, it doesn't stop the government to spend preposterous amount either. The way I see it communism merely forces the hand of the individuals without giving any benefits to those who work hard. While it does stand for equality, it create tens of hundreds of different standards because for example, a janitor doesn't work as hard as a medical doctor, a scientist, a lawyer or a business man would. About Capitalism lack of interest in progress, this is a lack of judgement. Capitalism strive for progress because it create more profits. For example, market competition make that each year automobile makers innovate on their designs. Same goes for electronics and for pretty much every goods you buy. Might not be true for food though.

In communist nation, progress is a goal. In capitalist nations, it is a necessity.

Necessity? This sounds hilarious. Capitalism has only 1 necessity and we all know what is that.
Besides, I work in maritime sphere, so pls, don't tell me about "strive for progress", "market competition" etc. I know how this system REALLY works.
Moreover, talks about Japan, Greece, dictators etc, etc have nothing similar with each other. I'm not an average TV watcher who can't understand true reasons and prerequisites in each concrete situation. So, there is no need to sculpt giant posts with tons of scattered
info.

Ironic! What was that arguments of yours about ridiculing? I was really hoping we wouldn't come to this. Oh well, here it goes:
Call it as you wish, but whether you recognize it or not, the biggest breakthrough come from capitalist countries. Progress is directly related to capitalism. Electricity, computers, most of the medical advancement, modern physics, internet and there is much more I could add. So yes I think it does strive for progress. But again you seem unable to refute an argument properly. Where are your proof? And how is your mockery and dismissal of information contributing to a constructive conversation? You don't respect what you preach. OK you work in a maritime area, how does that prove anything? Here, my theory, which obviously I can hardly base on facts but for the sake of the argument let try. You are either a fisherman, know someone who is, or work in a domain which is linked to it(feel free to correct me I am interested what your answer will be) and you blame capitalism for their poverty. Well first of all, it is the effort of socialism which has destroy the fishing industry by protestation and imposing strict regulation on fishing activities. Sure in some place, some type of fish were getting rarer but you simply have to be efficient by dividing the sector and let some of it restore itself overtime and go to a new one for the time being. There is also the alternative of creating your own fish farming industry. Of course it is a lot of effort, but it's far from being an impossible task. I don't see how is capitalism involved except that the one who work harder get richer(I am not if you were about to ask). Out of curiosity, how does capitalism work in your beautiful mind?

*Forgive me, I ran out of space*
"Moreover, talks about Japan, Greece, dictators etc, etc have nothing similar with each other."

Of course it does. You don't understand the fundamental principle here. What I tried to demonstrate is that:
-Japan has been growing in influence and power since they adopted capitalistic values.
-Capitalism is not the principal cause for which Greece is about to default. Humans are.
-I didn't mentioned dictators specifically but yes, communism, despite saying otherwise, is not spreading equal right, freedom, and resource equally. Above all, the nations with the exception of China which have adopted communism, have destroyed themselves. Whether you want to talk about the USSR, North Korea, Vietnam etc, it does not matter because the outcome is the same.

In addition, it might be scattered info but I rely on fact, on concrete proof. You don't seem to progress very quickly and for someone that want improvement, and you don't seem to be contributing very much either. You are making a foul out of yourself, you need no help from me. Besides, you say you want an argument, all I see is you stalling until you find something which you can retain against me and criticize me for it. I see no rational arguments whatsoever. Finally, apparently I am extrapolating too much, although I can't see something any better from you either. I thought it would be possible to rationalize with you, it seems I was wrong sadly.

Ehm, so the biggest breakthrough comes from capitalist countries? So maybe you will also tell me who invented powder? wheel? numerals? paper?compass? scales? alphabet? extinguisher? 1st tank? H-bomb? which country launched 1st man to the space?... capitalists? You a such a fanboy. Only 1 USSR made >200 inventions in researches of space, Earth, biology, chemistry, physics, mecanics, etc from 1957-91. I bet you've never even heard about those inventions.

My work involves organisation of transportations and operation in maritime transport, but I highly doubt that it will tell you something. In maritime sphere, as well as in any other sphere, progress is a instrument of pressure on other participants of logistical chain. "All-powered market, fair competition, tendency for progress, sruggle for clean environment..." - all these are just fables for idiots. Unbridled market, unfair competition, monsrous pressure on other participants of the line - this is the true face of capitalism. Concrete examples? - foundation of numerous controlling organisations, tons of useless papers, limitations... - why do we need all this? "To maintain safety at sea! To protect you from unfair service!!!... - Lie. It is an instrument of pressure on other countries. [replacing a country from "White flag" to "Black flag" and... voila! Unwelcome competitor is eliminated]. Need more? Let's take tankers. "...FYI tankers without second bottom and boards do not correnspond to safety requirements any more..." What's this? Worry about safety? About environment? - Lie again. It is just one more instrument of pressure. Nobody wants to have a competitor who can propose services for lower prices with lower costs. Small companies cant pay for this fabulously expensive stuff (and absolutely useless) - thus they have to leave the market. And that what I've told is just a top of the iceberg.

What what about fishing industry? Socialism destroyed it? By protests? ROFL. I guess you mean those pustular "green" snotters with transparency? Just to let you know, these idlers are also a part of unfair competition. Really, what could be easier? You just hire few dozens of young idiots for 5 bucks adn direct them to industrial (or any other) enterprise of unwelcom owner.

"You don't understand the fundamental principle here" - of course I don't. You are very studious schoolboy, of course you know much more than enybody else. No need to point me at my shabbiness.

I only stop at Greece question. Greece is in a debt pit exclusively tnx to EU. The more EU "helps" Greece, the deeper in the pit Greece falls. I realize that it is hard for you to understand it, but I do not hurry you.

"Besides, you say you want an argument" - you are very wrong again. I don't want any argument with you at all. It's you who wants something.

P.S. Of course Japan was a rudimentary country before WWII. I remember Pearl Harbour... hundreds of canoe are approaching to the battleships... thousands of archers with bows... samurais with katanas... shamans beating the tambourine... millions of arrows exlypsed the sky...

Oh God, I am a fan-boy. Hahaha nice one. That comes from the person who think that overall, Stalin helped his country and the USSR was some kind of paradise. You know what, fine whatever, if you want to be purposely delusional that your choice and I will , "respect" it. Sorry for being a philanthropist who believe that society as a group sucks.Individuals and only individuals resolve problem and improve our life. The contrary is also true but society as a group always lead to more problems. The sole exception being the army. Not war, ARMY. There a few differences. I hope you are smart enough to notice it. If not there is no point in having this discussion. Although, notice the army, have no freedom at all. You have 3 rights in the army. Do enlist, do as ordered or leave(in a proper army that is). In fact this will be my last debate with you because as I see I cannot reason with imbeciles because they are no bound by the rule of logic.

These invention you listed were from individuals, not from society, and most of them wasn't invented by your much praised USSR. Let's break it down:
-Powder: I suppose you meant gunpowder. Yes china invented cannon powder and they have been communism but obviously your obsession with communism clouded your mind. Let me help you on this one. Gun powder was accidentally discovered by a Chinese alchemist(some say he was a cook) in the 9th century. Your logic fallacy lie in your inability to differentiate between imperialist china and communist china. The communist party was founded in 1921 and only came into power a decade later. Before that, it was a form of capitalism and actually it is today a state capitalist country despite the political party being socialist. Basically your off from about 12 hundred years. Fail!

*Basically, you're off...
-Paper: same as above only difference being the date. It had been invented around 200BC by the Chinese when they were rule by an emperor under a pre-capitalist/pre-socialist economy. Based on this paper;
http://141.213.232.243/bitstream/2027.42/43641/1/11186_2004_Article_BF00213228.pdf
"State policies or actions with respect to the economy that required direct
expenditures were limited by the amounts of money, goods and labor that
the government controlled through direct and indirect taxation, corvé
services, and other government income." Thus it is not a "communist" invention.

-Wheel: I have no idea how the hell this as anything to do with communism. Some says it was invented in ranging from 2000 BC to 4000 BC in the region of Mesopotamia. Honestly, I don't care how you got to the conclusion it is a "communist invention", you are plain wrong. Just because we cannot know exactly who made it first, it doesn't make it a group achievement.

-Numeral system: Well that I did not expect either. Not sure if you are trolling me at this point or....
Named Arabic numbers because it was carried by the Arabs to the western world but invented by the Indians. If you mean number systems it's a different story because their was the Babylonian system the Egyptian system the Greek etc etc but then again, I don't see the link with communism.

-Alphabet: I won't even bother with this one. I already proven this to be false over and over again. It was invented before communism and there are several type too.

-Compass: 2 types of compass:
A) Magnetic
I hate to repeat myself so basically an early version invented by the Chinese, perfected by the Europeans in 1300.
B) Gyro
Invented by the American Elmer Ambrose Sperry in 1911. He owned 400 patent and was owner of few companies. Communist? Nope.

-Scale: it invented by the Egyptians about 3000 years ago. No link with communist here, moving on.

-Fire extinguisher: Depends, first invented by Ambrose Godfrey, a British in 1723. A portable Version was made later by George Manby another British in 1813. I fail to see the link with communism. Unless you have subtancial proof that these two men were. In any case, your "true communist"(Marxism and beyond) had not been invented yet.

-1st Tank. Now that is a really good one. I expected at the very least that you would know these were made by the British. Well, an Australian in 1911, Lancelot de Mole, which at the time Australia was a British colony. It had been rejected but the British government acknowledged De Mole's contribution in their design of 1914. Again, no communist implications here.

-Last, the hydrogen bomb. Ok this is a very common mistake so I do not condemn you for it. Though, that doesn't justify your arrogance and your lack of proper research. The Hydrogen Bomb, dubbed H-bomb, was first invented by the Americans. Aside from the fact that soviet had spies which had information about the Manhattan project. They didn't start out form scratch as the American did. The first atomic bomb, the fission bomb was made by Oppenheimer and his term thank to the work of Enrico Fermi which proved Einstein celebrated equation E= MC^2. So, even if you want to argue which country really developed the fusion bomb first(which I will do in a few moments), it was based on the work of American researchers and the idea of them. That right, the idea originated from Oppenheimer in 1942. Oppenheimer then turned against the project to developed a super bomb using fission to kick start a fusion. It was Edward teller who pursuit the development. It was November 1 in 1952 that the first bomb was detonated by the united state on a remote island called: "Elugelab". The soviet union developed their equivalent in 1953, it was less powerful but it could be fitted in a bomber. The US had to wait till 1954 to improve it's design.

Oppenheimer was not a communist partisan despite the lost of his security clearance. A study from the Smithsonian in 2009 revealed not only the KGB tried to recruit several times and failed, but Oppenheimer openly denounced communist in the program. So no need for conspiracy theories please. The only "real" soviet superior achievement was the Tsar bomb because the final version was the most power and the cleanest ever tested.

In any case, not only your communist fellows didn't made those invention, it was the work of individuals mostly. The Manhattan project was a group effort, though it was a group of the elite. I am an elitist. In general, the reason why working as a society doesn't work is that the sum of all wrongdoings by morons outclass the corrections and improvements done by the elites.I will finish my rant tomorrow. At least you won't be as much misguided as you were and hopefully minimize the nonsense sprouting from your mouth.

As a side note, I DO BELIEVE SOVIET(communist, Socialist) DID GREAT THINGS, it wasn't all that bad. I will include it tomorrow and I WILL GIVE REAL AND GOOD EXAMPLES. But in the end,THEY DIDN'T NOT AS MUCH, AS THEIR CAPITALIST NATIONS EQUIVALENT NO MATTER WHAT.

Conclusion: I do know what I am talking about and the invention that you enumerated, but clearly you do not. The "USSR" did not do anything! The researchers did!

You sir ComeradeStalin is a master of knowledge and i salute you , respect you and admire you
Even if it comes from the future i have to say it ! I agree perfectly with all you said

All i can add is that capitalism already proven what it can do , more so now in 2015 so i think it's high time it should be put down if not completely eliminated.
More and more people had more than enough
