I love the prequels, not just for what they offer on their own but also for how they have enabled and inspired the expansion of an already captivating universe.
Devout fans certainly appreciate the final installment of prequels(RoTS). And I definitely like the TCW series that embellishes and develops prequels in a satisfying way. I also like the CW micro-series, but it's a bit exaggerated.
Contrary to popular belief, TPM is a decent movie with nice visual effects. It clearly has a coherent plot, unlike TLJ. Prequels reveal characters' backstory and plot information in small bits. I'm inclined to say that prequels are better than sequels in terms of plot and likable, relatable characters. Sequels are simply beautifully made, but that's not enough to appease all fans.
On the other hand, AOTC is a bearably watchable movie and it's the worst installment in the prequel trilogy. It is at the bottom of the ladder along with TLJ.
Well, It's no secret that the prequels have flaws, anyone looking at them objectively can tell you that; however, to me the way the story unfolds in the prequels is incredibly fascinating, more so than the original trilogy. Moreover, I've always found the synergy between the 'macroscopic' political intrigues of Darth Sidious and 'microscopic' focus on the development of several key characters to be deeply enthralling; contrary to the model of the original trilogy where the focus lies almost solely on Luke Skywalker. Finally, I like the prequel trilogy's take on the design of the visuals and I appreciate the effort it took to create so many distinctive and visually appealing things of this regard.
