It may have been a dismal failure for ardent fans and people that spent their entire life scrutinizing original Expanded Universe, but for casual fans it was a fast-paced action-packed movie about Mary Sue.
Novelisation, preferably audio-book, provides us with additional in-depth information about Luke who actually decided to team up with Mary Sue...
Honestly, I'd rather read more novels on Jaina Solo, but it's no longer a viable option. Hopefully, director J.J.A will tie up loose ends. And expectantly, Snoke transfers his essence into another corporal vessel, cos' his apparent death in TLJ was a huge disappointment.
I need to re-watch it and then I'll estimate its overall value.
I wish they kept the EU going and just wiped TCW from it. Sure Ahsoka's pretty awesome but the EU would work a heck of a lot better without it. Let the new canon folks keep things that break the lore.
Sure, except it broke/overwrote a lot of the existing canon...
For instance Obiwan and Anakin fighting Dooku 7 times as a team in TCW takes a way from ep3's fight where Obiwan's just like "this time we'll do it together" What do you mean "this time" when there are 7 other times you've been fighting this guy as a team! /rant
I finally got around to watching this train wreck yesterday... it was barely acceptable even as a fan film.

TCW is pretty good in my dissenting opinion.
