The only Clone Wars that should be valid is the clone wars multimedia project. TCW is an abomination that should only exist in Disney canon.
I used to attentively read SW comics and novels to scrutinize the old EU, but when Disney took over, I sort of lost the will to read up on the previous EU complaining that everything was discarded and set aside. Now I'm starting to skim through the old EU to relive the SW delightful times.
I honestly think TCW in and of itself has some high-lights, but most episodes are mere fillers. It would be much easier to build upon the old EU, but it was overwritten instead.
Anakin's pupil, as a person, could actually exist as a distinct, separate being that either is a solitary character or someone else's student. And the whole TCW series could have been about Aayla Secura for instance.
The only thing I'm truly looking forward to is the Kenobi mini TV-series. However, this show is gonna legitimize Ahsoka's "movie existence" as she's gonna make her cameo appearance there.
I'll be reading Shatter-point book and the Rise of the Darth Vader in the coming days.
Perhaps I'll post some snippets.
