This means he came all the way from the Indus Valley to attack the Greeks
The Greek civilization is younger than the Indus Valley civilization , also called Harappans
It does make sense , the Harappans sent Skolex to attack the upstart Greeks of the time

The Greeks conquered part of India under Alexander, and they brought a lot of legends of Dragons and Unicorns with them, that relate to crocodiles and rhinoceros.

Yes but the Greeks did not exist in the times of the Indus Valley civilization
The age of Alexander was far later

This tells that the ancient civs. like the Greek , when young , caught the civs that existed before them being in late stages of weakened decline like the Harappans and by defeating them , the young ancients like the Greeks became great

The new trample over the old and establish a new world every time it seems

The Indus Valley civ. ( also known as Harappan ) dates from 3300 B.C.E. while the Greek began in 800 B.C.E. and now i am left to wonder what the Greeks were before then perhaps either full savages , or most likely unborn yet or a slave race to another archaic civilization like the Harappans
The oldest known civilizations from what i searched and found around the area were the Minoan of Crete , the Cycladic culture of several islands from the Mediteranean sea and the Khirokitia culture from Cyprus , so perhaps the Greeks of later were part of any of these if not all three , that when these parent cultures fallen the survivors started the Greek civilization as we know it
Think of how the Israelites became a people once out of Egypt

Further on from what i discovered myself ( and my project speaking ) i came to the conclusion that The Lost are the parents of all , of all of us and before them most likely non human civilizations existed if you can think in terms of going back and back in the past in this form and tracing the first ancestor , not evolutionary but by ethnicity

Now back to the topic at hand , if you consider extinct fauna that once existed , there is little doubt anymore that those legends were actually live records of encounters with those extinct beasts in question

As for Skolex here even the Bible mentions of underworld dwellers such as " the worm that never sleeps "
He was most likely a deep underworld dweller of the time , real not legend

The Indus Valley is a place though, and the Greeks were there. I believe they met the Mauryan Indians, but I might be mistaken.

If the Greeks were once the Indo-Greek civilization also known as Bactria , Greco-Bactria also known as the Kura Araxes civilization , then the Greeks as we know them were before they were Mediteranean Greeks , they were something else
Could be this theory or could be what i said first or both

Fascinating in either cases anyhow

I found this about that here

" In the wake of the death of Alexander the Great in 323 bce, Chandragupta (or Chandragupta Maurya), founder of the Mauryan dynasty, carved out the majority of an empire that encompassed most of the Indian subcontinent, except for the Tamil-speaking south. The Mauryan empire was an efficient and highly organized autocracy with a standing army and civil service "
