The grandparent of the USB? Have the CD and DVD completely been forgotten now as well?
Heh, I actually still have some of these with Win 2000 on it. No drive for these anymore though in modern computers... I think it's a shame, I always thought this was a very smart design to keep the disc inside protected.
i remember taking the metal guard off and playing around with the disk on the inside when i was younger....now i cant even find a place to place the floppy in a computer
sounds like an idea for a secret message system...
LOL it's funny I still use them to transfer midi files from my digital piano to somewhere else... btw just found a fat floppy (zip100) on my bookshelf, now that was a classic...
Judging from the lack of comments I take it nobody knows that this is a floppy disk? Its like the grandparent of the USB.
whats happening with this world?? im 17 and still remember these just like you!
Yea same. I remember when these were more popular than disks!
No one knows what to make of it :P
I don't remember them... But I know what they are.

I'm 15, and have used floppy disks, and known what they were long before I knew what USB was :P

Before CD there was the LP.

No idea
I have boxes full of these. Use them as frisbee when bored. Or to hit a stupid chick in da head.
