now i understand this is a joke, but the idea of a site reporting everything a child searches to their parents is enraging to me
Completely agree... we're getting more dystopian by the day as the powers that be use 1984 as an instruction manual.
Not even a site, a program that under any other circumstances would be formally considered malware (what else do you call an internet connection-tapping software designed to prevent the affected user from removing it?) used as an attempt at filling a hole caused by poor parenting. Don't send software to do a parent's job.
Also there's no humor in me comment...
