Do I need to explain why this is ineffective and stupid both as an ad and for the intended purpose? Basically punishment only works as long as the threat of punishment is nearby which means no lasting changes in a person's behavior. As for the ad part it just reeks of bad (90s) design. Which I guess is the joke here but as a psychology and computer science major I couldn't resist taking this seriously.
do i need to explain why this is a joke and we know it doesnt work because a child that behaves 100% of the time during childhood will be either a sociopath or a hardass rebel when grows up, specially if punishment was a part of maintaining that facade?
I acknowledge I'm aware that's the joke in my original comment, just that it's a pet peeve of mine and I couldn't resist taking it seriously.
