Even if they are abolished,new ones will take their place. It's in the nature of man to worship. Some worship celebrities,others worship money,some worship a traditional God etc.
Cannot wait until the day we finally make contact with an alien civilization. If they come to us,then probably "alien cults" will be formed and the aliens themselves will probably be considered demons by some people.

Anyway this isn't teleportation as you guys think it is. What likely happened was they converted a qubit into 2 bits and sent those bits to the station using EMR and then converted them back into a qubit. Basically this: Upload.wikimedia.org
