Made me think of the desert, so here the sad ending of a Desert wanderer. Sweat dropped from his forehead. He couldnt remember who he was, nor what he was searching for. Overcoming the dune after dune, the sun seemed to shine even brighter. Grabbing for his flask, he poured what little water he had left, the heat having mostly condensed the liquid. Observing his surroundings, he saw only death. A few skulls and bones lay barren, having been dug up during the last sandstorm. strange rock outcroppings and forms were to see on the horizon. Only the colour of sand and stone was to be seen. He decided to continue, rather than be baked to a crisp. At the Dunes peak, he felt a sudden rush of hopelessness. One final step, and he fell. The sand rushing downwards with him, the heat no longer ceasing. When it stopped, he tried to arise, and saw the sun. He let himself go. The heat closed in on its newest victim.
