Yep dumb, Free Speech 101 you can say and draw all kinds of things that might be offensive to some but you are still allowed to do it.... What drawings were they anyways?

They made a cartoon that showed a picture of a dead Syrian boy that said that he would of just grown up to be a rapist anyway. The point of it was to make fun of xenophobes who actually believe that immigrants are typically rapists, but everyone seems to have taken it the wrong way. Even if they were being serious I still don't think it would have been exactly equivalent to mass murder =p.

This demonstrates again that a lot of people follow Charlie Hebdo since the attacks, but the vasy majority of them don't even understand what they're reading!

It also demonstrates that generally people refuse to think by themselves. I explain: Some prick decides to react badly to this caricature on FB. Everyone else just react shocked or applause this person, but don't take the time to analyse the picture and even less to see it within the context. They got an interpretation served by the first person and are just too lazzy to go verify it. It is already pretty disturbing when most people do this, but even more annoying if journalists do this.

What do people not understand from "caricature" and "satirical journal"?!
The problem is people always take everything on the first degree as they don't want to think, they want something easy to understand. So they take what "entertaining" (people who like to share every of their thoughts on the net, even the most stupid) people say for granted.

I don't know if many people use this group anymore, but people who honestly think an offensive cartoon is equal to murder really piss me off.
