Yeah I can see why that'd get cut, plus it didn't really add that much to the story beyond just world and lore building. Both of which are useful of course but I think I preferred the censored version from a pacing perspective.
They would remove the entirety of TCW just to show us who’s boss. In other words, Disney pulls the strings and there's no one to oppose them. Certain scenes were cut due to overwhelming atrocity and exposed flesh. If pace was an issue, they would erase more scenes. There were more frightening scenes in previous seasons.
