lol!! talking about the calming of the storm, a few days (5-20days ago) there was a very loud storm and i could not fall asleep so i simply asked God to calm the storm so that i could fall asleep, and about 1-5 mins later the storm was quiet (still raining, but very quietly) which let me fall asleep very quickly!! unfortunately every atheist will argue that it was chance instead of God:(

Well not every miracle is the act of God. I wouldn't say random chance stopped the rain, I'd say more or less that it was coming to a stop anyway. Then again you say the storm was continuing but was just more quiet, so God simply calmed the storm (which you asked for) rather than stopping it entirely which does seem like an answer to your prayer.

BTW I'm not saying God didn't calm the storm, I'm just saying that not everything that appears miraculous is always the act of God. I know some people attribute everything that is right to God and then when something goes wrong, these same people blame God.

things usually go wrong because of the consequences of our(human's) sins. although God could be testing you when putting you through hard times(remember Job) and its always best to praise God even if everything is going wrong, i will do my best to praise God in all circumstances. (i believe that something like 'praise God in all circumstances' is written in the New Testament somewhere; but then i could be wrong)

Just for a little clarity, God didn't test job, he let Satan test him, while not letting Satan test job beyond his ability to withstand. It was sort-of a competition. But I do believe it was/is part of God's plan, as it is a good example of how if we endure hard times and temptations, there are better things for us ahead.
Good post tho :)
