Hitler was not consistent with the christian faith. Because he did exacly opposite of what scripture teaches. Also hitler could have been an evolutionist;) (very unconfirmed other then the part where hitler though that his race was superior to the other races, which is slightly what evolution teaches, that we evolve and become superior to the less evolved creatures. Therefore we must help evolution by killing off badly mutated, sick, weak, etc)
That's not evolution, that social darwinism. Definitely NOT the same thing :/ While Hitler certainly wasn't consistent with Christian faith, how many powerful Christians really have been? I seem to recall a lot of them doing the exact opposite of what scripture teaches too...
Pope Innocent III: "Hey guys, know what'd be great?" *exhales smoke from hookah* "What if we went to the last remnant of civilization which hasn't plunged into the Dark Ages, Constantinople, and sacked it cus' they're Eastern Orthodox? Yeah, let's go do that, and do some raping and murdering on the way!"
Good thing that God sees the hearts of such monsters. Jesus called them the Pharisees white washed tombs. Nice on the outside, rotten on the inside. God will judge those that said they were Christians but they really were not. The 4 commandment(I think) says do not use God's name invain. (I see it as don't say your a christian when your not) so don't worry those that have done evil will be judged!!
There never was "dark ages" after the Roman world, and Christianity doesn't have as much to do with the fall of the empire as you want to tell people. Constantines idea was to form a dogma that would help the empire stay intact. (needless to say, it failed badly)
The Roman empire fell to internal civil wars and an unstable economy. (slavery)
Well there was this one theory about the Holocaust as a divine punnishment from God because the Jews caused the death of Christ back in the day (which was also part of the divine plan)...
... yea... I'm not gonna buy into any of this crap.
(buried)
