Description
Almost crashing his propulsor while landing XP
The glorious star fighter its hated and loved at the same time. Imo it didn't deserved the bad reputation.
I didn't know the Widowmaker had a bad rep :S
Oh it certainly did deserve it's bad REP.
1. A sub Par fighter that won contracts due to bribes both domestic and abroad. ((The USAF didn't even want this thing))
2. It was dangerous, it didn't get the name Flying Coffin, Lawn dart and Widow Maker for nothing.
3. Was a mechanical Nightmare, And was Fragile. ((Prone to fatigue and vibration damage))
4. Didn't meet It's design specifications ((except Rate of Climb which it exceeded))
5. The Program had runaway costs ((exceeded budget by a long shot))
Some of these things Remind you of another Lockheed Project?
But hey IMO it looks awesome.
Much can be said about L-M but they surely have good bribers in the senate.
Humans could achieve such greater technology if they wouldn't make a bitch move everytime for a few extra bucks.
L-M is one of these many many corps.
There was a joke in Germany about this one: "How do you get a F-104? Buy a piece of land and wait."
