I like it, I don't know why, but kind of reminds me to that game: Chakan.

Personally I don't think it looks anything like Chakan, Chakan looks like Eddie, Iron Maidens mascot, this guy looks nothing like either. :)
Word, it's a shame that Chakan had a poor execution, it had a great story.
