Alright, here is a myth/legend/story (idk how to classify this, I can't make sure if everything is accurate) I heard a while ago. An old STALKER told me about it.

"It was Winter [might be ca. December, early winter] 2010. The [nameless] group was heading towards Yantar to find some shelter for the winter. They heard another STALKER talking about some abandoned factories there [Yantar was not inhabitated by anybody at this time and it was complete wasteland...at least for humans] so they headed there. In the factories, they might have thought, should be lots of useful tools and gear, also bigger complexes could be even closed completely to let nobody in. They seem to didn't know anything about the Yantar area, but Agroprom was fairly crowded by some groups of Loners who raided the area in 2009. Why the group hasn't thought about take the shelter there? Nobody knows about that. Maybe they didn't wanted to share. Maybe it is because they all were criminals. Other STALKERs...well...one who has seen the group wandering around Agroprom meant that they looked weird...they had advanced armors, perfectly fitting for winter combat, black/white patches...and they didn't follow any visible leader. It was as if they followed a voice. Soon after that, the STALKER, who has seen the group, disappeared. Nobody knows where to, but he left his PDA behind. But back to our group. They finally entered the Yantar territory through the Agroprom swamps. Nobody has ever seen anything from them since that moment. They went through reed...and disappeared. One year later, when the the population of Agroprom reached their maximum, a population of zombies with exact the same clothing was seen. Black and white. This was the first sighting of STALKER-Zombies ever...soon after that, a faction nobody has ever heard about, except some older STALKERs, began storming the barrier. They all wore black and white styled armor...

Some people called them Monoliths - due to their battle screams."

Interesting one!

I know It's basically my version of the origin of the monolith camo and their founding. I think there is alot of room for making speculations there
