Hey, I've decided to get wild and crazy with telling the world about my latest game instead of just doing a few little updates on my blog at Hamumu. I'm going to try to really share a lot, and hopefully get some good feedback I can incorporate.
I'm starting it off with a fabutastical video so you can see a tidbit of what's in there now. It's got the "broom physics" (note: no physics involved), monster-slaying, random item drops, and the inventory stuff. There's more in the game at this point, but I'll share that in future updates.
Looking like it could become a really fun metroidvania :D
But flixel...? Meaning it'll be a browser game? :/
I'm actually not sure how I want to distribute this yet. I'm going to get much further along before I work that out. It's quite easy to make downloadables with Flixel/flash (using Air), so it might be an online demo and a downloadable full game. But I'm not worrying about that yet!
Looks like players could get into a really good flow: flying around, tossing the broom, and then calling it back to fly away.
Seems a bit odd that a broom would deal damage - but hey, if its fun, it doesn't have to make sense.
I also like how the broom can stick into walls, that could be used to open doors, like a key in a lock.
I like the idea! :D
It remembers me one of my ideas, where you used a flying ghost pear as a boomerang! :)
Oh! I'm following and I can't wait for updates! :)
