We attended I PAD Congress last week!
PAD (Professional Associated Developers) is the largest developers association in Spain with more than 60 companies, including of course, DragonJam Studios. It aims to serve both as a platform for video game developers to present their latest projects and as a networking opportunity.
The congress was held at at the Fabrica Moritz, Barcelona, as a satellite event of Gamelab 2014, which included conferences by well-known worldwide videogame personalities such as Tim Schafer, Jade Raymond, Keiji Inafune, Yu Suzuki or Peter Molineux.
We had the chance of meeting a lot of videogame developers, talk in person with those until then virtual friends, and the pleasure of seeing again some of all our long-time friends at the industry.
We are very satisfied with the result, lots of colleagues and curious people came to our stand and we received valuable feedback, which we will take into account in order to make Formula Wincars our dream videogame.
Besides, we also had time to visit other developer’s stands and check out the high level of all videogames showcased at the congress. It’s a pity that we don’t have enough time to show you them all because they really deserve it. Anyway, we will mention some of our favorites:
Dead Synchronicity (Fictiorama)
“Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today” is an in progress 2D graphic adventure to be released for PC, Mac and iOS (iPad). The game features mechanics very similar to those displayed in old-school classics like “Day of the Tentacle”, “Monkey Island” and “Broken Sword”
Anima Gate of Memories (Anima Project Studio)
Anima Gate of Memories is an action RPG set in the Anima Beyond Fantasy world featuring a deep compelling story and exciting gameplay.
Roving Rogue (Padaone games)
Roving Rogue is an old-school 2D platformer featuring multiplayer support for up to four players. The game starts unexpectedly after defeating the final boss. Players will need to guide their characters to the exit through a collapsing castle full of lava.
Heart & Slash (aheartfulofgames)
Heart, a malfunctioning robot, fights for its identity against the minions of standardization. A 3D brawler/roguelike for PC/Mac/Linux.
Dimension Drive (2Awesome Studio)
2 games in one! A fast shoot'em up for PC (Windows / OSX / Linux).
