Adds a sniper dot to any weapon you want, tells you who is aiming at you, and has long range target identification, many different dot colors, a Psychadelic dot mode, and in the future may have enhanced zooming and also the sniper dot available as a pickup you could collect in the level.
This is Snipe v100
To use, just install it to your UnrealTournament folder. Then, to use it in the game, start a practice match or multiplayer game and select Snipe from the mutators window. If you want to, edit the ini files beforehand for best results... Stay tuned for a mod menu entry...
This is a client side mod. This means that the player must have it installed to use it on a server (and vice versa).
Features include: -Configurable weapons to use the dot. -Health deduction of a configurable amount of health per shot and twice that amount of gain in health per head shot to promote accuracy. -Long range target identification. -Messages that tell who is targeting you. -Configurable color of the dot. -a beta version of Psychadelic dot mode. to try it out, just set bPsychadelicDot to true in the User.ini underneath the dotcolor value. this feature is a bit buggy right now though: when u pick up a dot weapon, to get the psychadelic dot to show up, you have to either feign death or switch back and forth between some non-dotweapons and the dotweapon
for future versions, there will probably be accuracy encouraging features to toggle, like an anti-camping feature similar to the Anti-Camper mod by Beppo(only yer not declared a camper unless u actually frag people, unlike in Beppo's version). I may add a HUD that displays who is targeting you/ who you are targeting so that if multiple people target you it can be displayed. UWindows planned for v125. For this version you must edit the .ini files Snipe.ini and User.ini...
How to configure: -in user.ini, change this line [Snipe.SniperDot] DotColor=2 to whatever number you want. the dot colors are listed below: 0=Blue 1=Deep Purple 2=Deep Red 3=Green 4=Light Blue 5=Orange 6=Pink 7=Purple 8=Red 9=Yellow
-in Snipe.ini, here are the descriptions of each line: [Snipe.Snipe]bShotPenalty-set this to false to get rid of the health penalty for firing a shot with a dot weapon.bAllWeaps-set this to true to use a sniper dot with every weaponHealthPenalty-amount of health to take away for each shot-- these are the weapons that have sniper dots when bAllWeaps is false.
