The Tank Game is an arena shooter featuring a diverse set of abilities and weapons. Figuring out how to use the items you are currently holding in order to turn a situation in your favour will be far more important than just having a steady aim. Much like the quake and unreal games of old items re-spawn periodically on the map rather than being given to you upon spawning. You must control these resources while also attempting to deny them to your opponents in order to prevail. The game has a strong emphasis on multiplayer and you can play with up to 5 friends on one PC in head to head multiplayer or CO-OP modes. Online and LAN play for more players is also supported. - This game is currently in development, so is the name... If you have any questions please ask!-

Hi!

We tried to run the game and as soon as it opened the screen turned into PURPLE! yes, just purple, keeping us from seeing anything of the game. Anyway, if we press some keys (like ENTER) or move the mouse we can listen the game's menu sounds. It's kinda weird and we can't play it...

Any idea of what happens? Or what could be causing this? Are we the only ones having this problem?
(Edit: sometimes we manage to make it "run" but it looks like crashed)

Thanks in advance

Hey,
Sorry for the very late reply Desura doesn't seem to inform me when a new post is made in the forum unless I happen to actually look here.

From what you said it seems like the game is in fact running but is displaying incorrectly, I've never heard of this problem before I'm afraid so not sure what exactly is causing it.
I would suggest you open up the games config file (config.cfg) which should be somewhere like "Program Files(x86)\Desura\Common\the-tank-game" and then try playing around with a few setting there and seeing if it helps when you try running the game again.

some things you could try out.
Changing the games resolution by setting something like "resx 800" and "resy 600"
Changing between fullscreen and windowed mode by setting "fullscreen 1" or "fullscreen 0".
Turning off the lighting "detail_lighting 0"
Setting "dynredraw 0"

Sorry i don't have anything more specific, If you could tell me some more information about the computer your running it on and your screen resolution I might be able to try and replicate the problem. Hopefully this was helpful sorry again for the late reply!!

Hey,
I was able to recreate what seems to be the same problem on an ATI card with the 13.3 beta drivers. I have fixed it in the 0.9.7.5 patch hopefully this addresses the issues you are having as well!
