The Protectors of Etheria is a stand-alone mod of the game Warlords Battlecry 3 (i.e. it can be run without having the original game installed - 100% free full game). The Undead have always been a fairly unique race due to their morphing abilities. In 0.9, they also gain an unique way to boost their economy.
As the Undead are all about raising the dead, they gain a new building called the Necromantic Conduit that consumes the dead and converts them into a permanent resource income bonus while the building is standing. It requires 6 nearby corpses to activate one of these conduit buildings but Zombies can bring corpses to them. So conduits built inside your base, or somewhere else very quiet, can still be activated.
However, Necromantic Conduits can't be built near another Necromantic Conduit. So you'll need to spread them out.
The corpses carried by Zombies can also be used by other units / buildings that can raise the dead, such as Liches.
What about distance between selected conduit and that one on the left, is that minimal, or this restriction works for each player separately like with towers?
They can't be built near allied ones, either. The restriction distance is a bit smaller than the distance between those 2 in the picture. But typically, you can fit 4 in your base comfortably before you have to start building some beyond safety or expand your base.
So i can add it to my lil foothold near the hostile Undead base and their conduit won't be able to ruin this idea. Very nice, especially with these new islands maps.
Undead infinite resources will be a huge buff, though.
It is already one of the strongest races.
+30 income is the maximum you can get because we don't fancy sorting out all of the mess caused by changing the variable size to allow it to go higher. XD Well, not yet anyway.
