The Hit is a multiplayer stealth-shooter, set in an open-world city with tens of thousands of NPCs. Track down your target and kill them as quickly and cleanly as possible, before the other players can manage it. Try to stay incognito, or photograph other players and take out hits on them.
Over the last few months, I've rewritten most of the city code yet again. I hadn't intended to, but it ended up being the easiest way forward.
The new city is constructed from voxel volumes, which means I will be able to add terrain destruction at a later date. Set off a bomb underground, and you'll be able to collapse street or even buildings; ideal for getting to a well-protected target, or just causing some mayhem.
A nice side-effect of the new system has been that terrain elevation has become possible, so I've also written a simple terrain generator, which makes the city look a bit more realistic and interesting.
