The Great Gaias is a story-driven role playing game designed for lifelong lovers of the classical styled JRPG genre. Inspired by the classics, Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, and Final Fantasy - The Great Gaias is an epic, medieval JRPG with an elaborate and absorbing storyline. The game features more than sixty hours of gameplay including sidequests, hidden characters, crafting, multiple endings, and much more. The Great Gaias is the first project of the game development studio Horizon's End.
The Great Gaias began with a world designed from scratch by me (Matt), and my best friend and Horizon's End co-founder, Brian. With the creation of this map we began a story that snowballed into an epic saga and evolved to portray a world, lush and dynamic, into which our friends were quickly drawn. For five years we were part of this world and during that time, my days as the Dungeon Master, I collected and slowly accumulated the stories that took place over the course of our table-top role playing. Before long a story was woven about an intricate and vast world full of history, war, love and betrayal. A world that outgrew our simple role playing and took on a life of its own. Now we wish to share this world with you in the form of a 60+ hour RPG. (Not including the multitude of side quests)
