Version 0.4 of Survival Wasteland's pre-Alpha demo, some bugs have been fixed and some interesting options have been added along with menus:
-Shelter now is a separate structure category
-Map size (in sectors) can now be changed in the Options Menu
-Day/night cycle durations can now be changed in the Options Menu

With the submission of version 0.4 we have a new manmade structure, the most basic of all shelters, the Rough Log Shelter. As of 0.35 you could build anything at all and the game considerred you capable of building shelter, now you will have to seek out some sticks and cut down some logs to get the protection you so much need before you can strive for more!
What's more, you get to customize the experience further, you can have a tiny 2x2 map, where resources are very limited and it will take some patience for some items to respawn, or you can play in an immense 10x10 map, challenging yourself to make every single sector safe and inhabitable - and with 100 sectors, that's a lot of work!
Feel you need more? Change the day/night cycle's durations and see how it impacts your trips - smaller means you can travel smaller distances and you will have to rush to build shelter fast, longer does mean you have more time, but night won't be over that fast, you will have to replenish quite some HP when you return home!
Unfortunately due to a tight schedule not much content has been added as the primary goal is to bring the game to playing standards, so here's the plan:
V0.5 will bring more content and some audio to bring the wasteland to life
V0.6 may bring in some animation - depending on whether you folks think it's needed or it doesn't fit the retro style of the game - and will complete the mechanics, finishing all the splashscreens, adding in the ability to finish the game (note, with enough iron rods you can get the car built already!) and some more goals - scores, stats etc.
After that the game will enter official Alpha stage and more mechanics will be added, such as animals for you to interact with, ideas are plenty, but your support is needed!
Enjoy the game as it is thus far and send in your feedback! Give the game a like on facebook.com/SurvivalWastelandTheGame to show your support and encourage the ongoing development!
