A repository of my conversions to Star Wars Battlefront II. This includes characters, vehicles and levels from various other Star Wars games, including Renegade and Elite Squadron on PSP, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, Force Arena and more. Here you'll also find source files that modders can use in their own creations.

Description

Cato Neimoidia was a planet in the Cato Neimoidia system, within the Quellor sector of the galaxy's Colonies region. It was a wealthy colony world of the Neimoidians and the base of operations for the Trade Federation. Much of the world was covered in a persistent fog, while the bridge cities of Cato Neimoidia were suspended above the planet's acidic ocean surface on bridges anchored on massive giant rock arches, upon which thrived forests and grasslands.

How I can change the heroes? I want to change Durge for Dooku and Ackbar/Dengar for Luke/Vader.
But I cant do this using the hex editor.

For some reason, this map doesn't have too many comments, even though it's one of my best maps for SWBF2 in my opinion. Here are a few things that I like:
- the stock sides
- new vehicles
- new heroes (Dengar rules!)
- the updated textures
- the overall feel and structure of the map
There are also a few things that I'd change:
- the typo in the map name (I know, it's a minor thing, but it kind of bothers me)
- the floating icon bug with the new weapons (if it's not to be fixed, then maybe at least you could just get rid of the icons)
- you die immediately after spawning at CP2
- vehicles (especially starfighters) have no sounds
- the B-Wing seems OP
- maybe the AT-STs could appear a bit less often
- it would be cool if you replaced the Republic's starfighter with a V-19 Torrent or an EP2 Jedi Starfighter
- maybe you could add an additional game mode
- it's not something important, but maybe you could change the sky into the BF3 reddish sky?
All in all, it's a great map and I can't wait for your other conversions :D

Please don't continue the map. The source files were for people to make new maps entirely. Calrisian97 is going to continue the map as he has my blessing and permission.

Teancum, I don't understand: why he can't continue working on the map? Why just Calrisian97 can work on it? What are your reasons for this decision?

Besides, if you don't want other people to use the map and just use the assets separately, then at least write it in the description. Otherwise how they wouldn't know that they can't use the map in their mods and fix the issues?

Oh, I guess it explains everything. Also, sorry if I sounded harsh, I really appreciate this map, as well as Teancum's input into SWBF2 modding scene (I remember when the 2.2 version of the Conversion Pack was still quite a new thing) and I'm really hyped that he came back with some new content. Still, I'm glad that the map is being updated as I consider it a gem that needs only a little bit of polish to be perfect. ;)

That's fine I didn't intend to steal your work I was gonna credit you. I just wanted a good Cato neimotia map for a while and I wanted to add my own spin to it. I'm still gonna continue work on it but if you don't want me to upload it I will respect your request.

Yeah, but I'm still curious of the reasoning behind of Teancum's decision.

Because Calrissian97 offered to help, and he has a proven track record of doing an amazing job.

I provided the assets so people could make new stuff from this, however I'm not going to stop anyone from doing their own thing. In the end the hard work belongs to Rebellion Developments, I just put their stuff in SWBF2. I'll just be very clear that only Calrissian, someone who I 100% trust to maintain an official version, has my blessing to continue it as is.

Wow, the PSP had some great maps. The flow and push in the center is very satisfying to play. The conversion has some issues, though, particularly phasing through the ground at CP 2. Completed sounds for starfighters would be nice, too. Other than that I love it!

Works fine on the GoG version with no mods. Make sure you're running the stock game.

Map crashes for me when I play as the Clone Wars. Any fixes or reasons why it may be doing this?

Ah, the place I most wanted to see in a Battlefront game when I first watched Revenge of the Sith, this map is awesome, a good mix of vehicle combat and indoors close quarter fighting, set in this cool hanging city. Great hero selection, too.
