This first person shooter set in the Star Trek universe lets you take control of a member of the Starship Voyager crew as you combat the Borg and other enemies. The game utilizes the Quake 3 engine for incredible graphics as you travel through many familiar locations --Voyager, a Borg cube, a Klingon Bird of Prey, and more. The game also requires you to solve missions with the help of intelligent computer controlled teammates and allies.
Nebula 2 - Revenge of the Borg is a one of my older projects. Contains nine detailed levels, interconnected with the simple story about Borg's attack on Voyager. In this mission, a Borg cube gets in Voyager's way and is determined to destroy them once and for all. However, that it is not compatible with the Expansion Pack, which causes malfunction of some scripts!
Story and info
As far as the storyline goes, the map (or maps) take place when the Voyager took it's 70-year long journey home across the galaxy. If you have seen the series on TV, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. In this mission, a Borg cube gets in their way and is determined to destroy them once and for all.
Unfortunately not everything worked out as I was hoping it would. For example, I was not able to coordinate allied combatants and so you'll only see them for a short while. Also, my knowledge of scripts isn't too high, which had a negative effect on the length required to finish the mission, since I wasn't able to implement various animated sequences. Nevertheless, if I take into account the original 10-month old plans for Nebula 2, when it was supposed to only be comprised of a single level and without any scripts whatsoever, the current state of the mission is still a great success, which you should really consider trying yourselves, at least for the great level designs. And one last advice: Don't provoke passive Borg when it's not necessary, you'll soon find out ammunition is a rare commodity that should not be needlessly wasted!
