In 1986, the world's worst nuclear disaster occurred at the Chernobyl power station. Soviet authorities established a 30km 'Exclusion Zone' around this nuclear wasteland, but in 2006 a second explosion rocked the stricken reactor, obliterating all living things and causing the Zone's boundaries to ripple outwards. From this epicenter came waves of mutated creatures, deadly radiation, and a strange, anomalous energy. The Zone was cordoned off by the military, who would shoot on sight anyone foolish enough to brave the horrors within.

I might abandon my first vanilla (ZRP plus my own small changes) playthrough that I've been playing on and off for 5 years now (I'm at the Radar map to deactivate the antennae) and start a new game. That's how good Gunslinger is.
For other noobs like me:
- start Gunslinger with \bin_x64\xrEngine.exe
- if the game won't start, copy OpenAL32.dll from \bin to \bin_x64 AND install OpenAL from Openal.org

I've installed stalker soc 1.06 (in russian) then te gunslinger ver. 03.09 from your link (that work well) and then your translation. In that point i get that error

The problem is the base game language version. I don't remember which version it is, but one has one more xml file than the other. Installing the base game in English should fix the problem. If not - I will look into it.

Every one i find comes whit the .exe fixed / NO DVD version, and the gunslinger files chashes in that version
You can find an original version on GOG
****, i red this late. I made it work, but it wasn't easy jaja. I found in a ghost blog lost a copy of the original disk(us v1.0000). then I patched to v1.0006 and then I installed the mod and the translate and it worked.

Moin, soweit ich weiß noch nicht. Das Projekt wurde auch in andere Hände übergeben. Hatte selbst kaum Zeit und hab das auch daher nicht mehr so aktiv verfolgt. Das war der letzte Stand, den ich mitbekommen habe.

The archive will have a password, the password is stalker-mods.clan.su
drag and drop the files into a fresh install of SOC, then extract the files for the translation, make sure you go into the English folder, and put everything in there into the SOC folder.
