Description:
This mod introduces in the game a new special version of the Toz 34 shotgun, modified for big hunt.
The model I created fires ammunitions specific for big hunt and it has very interesting features: I increased power and precision, without compromising the game realism because it holds only two bullets, it has a long reloading time and poor handling and this makes this weapon balanced. It has power, but it isn't like a bazooka! I advise you to try it, so you can tell me your impressions!
In the game you'll find the new Toz 34 shotgun with an icon that marks it as a special weapons and a new kind of ammunitions (they have the white arrow icon, too), both available from Sidorovich or from the Barman.
More over, the packet contains the following new textures:
- 5 versions (3 damaged and 2 cammo) for the Toz 34 (both for the base model and for the special one that I created; The references for the textures of the two shotgun are different, so you can use different textures for the two versions. Later I'll explain how to do this);
- New textures for the package of the bullets, for the icon in the inventory/trade screen and for the bullets in the game (you'll see as soon you reload the shotgun).
Installation:
Extract the directory "gamedata" in "C:\Program File\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl" (or wherever you installed the game). Note that this mod adds modifications for the weapons and for the trade system, so I don't know how it reacts with other complex mods. For this reason, I suggest to use it with the vanilla version of the game or just with some small retexture mods. As soon as possible, I'll try to make it compatible with other mods (I put almost all the new icons in the file "ui_icon_equipment.dds" that I think most complete).
In the archive you'll find two more directories, containing the textures for the shotguns:
- Toz 34: contains the files "wpn_toz-34" that you can add in "gamedata\textures\wpn" to modify the textures of the normal Toz 34 in the game;
- Special Toz 34: contains the files "wpn_toz-hy" that you can copy in "gamedata\textures\wpn" to modify the default texture for the new modified Toz 34.
If it's the first time you install a mod, you have to:
- Reach the directory in which you installed the game (i.e. "C:\Program File\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl") and open the file fsgame.ltx with Notepad;
- Change the second line of the file you have just opened from "$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata" to "$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata". Save the changes and close the file.
Availability:
Anyone can use and modify this mod (the whole one or just some parts) and anyone can add it in his own one. The only thing that I ask is to be notified of it and to be cited in the credits.

Questo mod inserisce nel gioco una nuova versione speciale del fucile da caccia Toz 34 modificata per la caccia grossa.
Ho creato un nuovo modello che spara specifiche munizioni per la caccia grossa e che ha delle caratteristiche decisamente interessanti... Ne ho aumentato potenza e precisione, senza però compromettere il realismo del gioco. Infatti credo che la possibilità di disporre di soli 2 colpi, il relativamente lungo tempo impiegato per ricaricare e la scarsa maneggevolezza, rendono comunque bilanciata l'arma che, in questo modo, garantisce sì potenza, ma senza per questo essere una specie di bazooka... Vi consiglio di provarlo, così mi saprete dire!
Nel gioco troverete un nuovo Fucile Toz 34 con tanto di icona che lo contraddistingue come arma speciale ed una nuova versione di munizioni (anch'essa contraddistinta dalla freccia bianca), entrambi disponibili da Sidorovich e dal Barista.
Inoltre il pacchetto contiene le seguenti nuove texture:
- 5 versioni (3 rovinate e 2 cammo) per il Toz 34 (sia per il modello base che per il modello speciale da me creato; N.b.: i riferimenti per le texture dei due fucili sono differenti, questo vi permette, se volete, di montare differenti texture per le 2 versioni. Più avanti vi spiegherò come);
- nuove texture per i proiettili da caccia, sia il pacco di munizioni, sia l'icona dell'inventario/commercio che i proiettili veri e propri nel gioco (vedrete appena ricaricherete il fucile...).
Installazione:
Estraete la cartella gamedata e incollatela in C:\Programmi\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl.
N.b.: questo mod aggiunge nuove modifiche sia per l'arma che per il commercio, non so come possa reagire con altri mod complessi. per questo motivo per ora lo cosiglio solo per la versione liscia del gioco o solo con piccoli mod retexture o che non modificano il commercio.
A breve spero di riuscire a renderla compatibile con altri mod (ho giò comunque inserito le nuove icone su un file "ui_icon_equipment.dds" completo di quasi tutto...) e ovviamente a qualunque modder piaccia il mio mod, lascio la totale disponibilità di rielaborazione per renderlo compatibile con i propri mod. basta che me ne diate comunicazione e credito.
All'interno dell'archivio troverete anche 2 cartelle contenenti le differenti texture per i fucili:
- Toz 34: contiene i file "wpn_toz-34" da aggiungere in gamedata\textures\wpn per modificare le texture di tutti i Toz 34 normali presenti nel gioco;
- Special Toz 34: contiene i file "wpn_toz-hy" da sostituire sempre in gamedata\textures\wpn per sostituire la textura di base per il Toz 34 da caccia grossa.
Se è la prima volta che inserite una modifica, allora dovete:
- Andate nella directory di gioco: C:\Programmi\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl trovetere un file .ltx dal nome fsgame; apritelo con un Blocco Note.
- Ora è necessaria questa ulteriore operazione: cambiare la seconda linea del file fsgame.ltx da "$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata" a "$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata". Confermate l'operazione chiudendo il file e salvando la modifica.

lascio totale disponibilità di riebolazione del mio mod (nella totalità o in parti di esso) a chiunque voglia inserirlo all'interno di un proprio mod, chiedo solo che me ne sia data comunicazione e credito.
