Call of Pripyat takes you once again into the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986. This so-called "Zone" is a highly contaminated area cordoned off by the military and now is combed through by the so-called stalkers, modern fortune hunters, in search of unique artifacts. In the role of Agent Alexander Degtyarev, who is dressed up as stalker, you have to investigate the mysterious disappearance of five military helicopters and thereby stand one’s ground against the various stalker groups.
Yeah but if you get shot.... Force is still a vector, with direction and magnitude. If you get shot, you'd know. If your back hurts, you won't suspect the shot came from the front but from behind. If you can survive a couple of shots you should know where they came from.
Yes you are correct. You can also try to spot from where the gun fire sound came from, or the sound from the bullet moving trough the air. This is just if you find annoying the indicator popping on the screen every time you'd get shot, for immersion pourposes.
force is a vector true and you can use it to have a general direction of the shooter's location but instead of focusing on the vector you'll be spitting your guts out pain if you've got no decent armor. this is why the indicator was created, you are not able to feel the shot since this is virtual. but anyway that topic is pointless as said the author.
Thanks! I'm still ROFL about the all capitals ...
Hahahaha. It is very hard to read sometimes.
I don't mean that you used them, but the frank "easier to read, I like that"
I love it!
Very appreciated, thanks so much! This will add other difficulty to Misery 2.2 (as if it needed it...).
As if Misery wasn't Miserable enough LOL! xD
But truly tho', hit marks should remain, in real life you get to tell from where you get hit. Maybe change the hit mark and make it smaller or give it a different look, there are many great hit marks used in other games, you could clone one of them and see how it turns out.
Well, I thought about that, maybe I can work something out, have some ideas for it. I will try it when more time is available. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for sharing this. I never liked hit markers , they are so distracting.
In case you were wondering, this works in all Stalker games
