Sands of Osiris is a competitive tower defense game that supports custom maps, influenced by Cat vs Mouse maps in Warcraft III. Creatures spawn in the middle of the map in waves of increasing difficulty and stampede to your base in an attempt to destroy your walls. Harvested resources allow you to improve your defenses and skills. Compete against others with online multiplayer in private servers. Built in map editor included.
Version 0.32 of Sands adds a health bar, buildings, tree harvesters, conditions, and many models. In the preview below, you can see doodad and terrain placement in Creative Mode. Once the server host starts the match, everyone is asked to join a team. Players on the Jackal team have to locate a hidden base and build a Lumber Camp. Once enough wood is harvested, walls and towers can be constructed to protect the base against the roaming Sphinx.

Hello, I recently downloaded the launcher but it keeps on saying "connection error" and "launching". Is this a bug or a server problem?
Please let me know of any suggestions or bugs you find. It will help me tremendously as I work to improve the game.
Planned additions:
Tutorial
Better server browser
Animations
More units, buildings, and abilities
I just posted a video of a base building test. The basic buildings and harvesters all work well and the game is coming together really quickly. A demo should be available in the spring.
This game is not dead at all! I have been working so hard on the mechanics and design that I don't have any time to blog about the games progress. Sands of Osiris is built using JMonkey 3 and all unit, item, and ability data is stored in an external file just like my first game, Baneforge. Think garrys mod with voxels. The first game script I am writing is a rebirth of the Cat and Mouse custom maps from starcraft and warcraft. I have a playable demo now and I am now working on reliability/durability (crash bugs on certain PCs, not my own) and art. So it's in playable alpha.
