Quake 2 is another classic from id software. While not modded quite as much as it's predecessor or Q3A, it is still a blast to play and the mod's on offer are bundles of fun. Just step into Quake 2 Rocket Arena, armed with the new and almighty rocket and rail gun and you will be gibbing for hours on end.If you dig fast paced action, then load up the good ole Quake 2, fire up a mod or two and have some fun!

Description

The Quake 2 Nintendo 64 soundtrack! Simply extract the "baseq2" folder into your Quake 2 directory to install. I only tested this with the yamagi sourceport so apologies in advance if it doesn't work on other sourceports. Credits: Aubrey Hodges - Composer of the OST; zophar.net - Providing the soundtrack in .mp3 format; Me - converting the files to .ogg format.

Sonic Mayhem did a solid job on the original soundtrack, but it does gets annoying after a while. So this here is just what I needed. Thanks.

I understand this was the norm for the times, but honestly, heavy metal music does nothing but a disservice to the game's atmosphere. Hodge's soundtracks are brilliant.
