Primitives is a third person survival/strategy game set on an alien planet filled with diverse flora and fauna. You must lead a tribe of primitive tribes people by assuming the role of chief, the only tribe member with the brainpower to lead the tribe to prosperity. To conquer the land you must defeat the king of the jungle, a ferocious beast with a ravenous hunger that includes alien and man meat alike. To defeat this beast, you must expand your tribe by collecting various resources such as wood, stone leather and bone and utilize these to build up your camp. The larger the camp the more members will flock to your tribe which means more mouths to feed but also greater strength to combat the predators that roam the land.

I like what you've got so far, nice style.
a balance suggestion I would like to make is I found it very hard to kill the dear compared to the wolves and mammoths which shouldn't be the case. I eventually given up trying to hit a deer as they keep moving so I went for a mammoth instead and killed it by punching it without it fighting back so I think mammoths should be much more dangerous so you have to use a whole tribe to take it down.
here are some bugs I found I'm not sure if you've seen these already;
1 team mate getting stuck in a tree instead of foraging from it
2 when I hit a deer with my spear it shoots strait through the camera so fast I can hardly see it and I can never find the body of the deer or the spear again.

3 camera gone wonky compared to the character so forwards was right and left was forwards and so forth.

Good luck, I will be following developments.

Hey there thanks for the suggestions and reports.
We are currently working to try and get some hostility from the mammoths the original idea was for them to be like the elephants in age of empires, huge stores of resources if you can take them out but dangerous to your tribe if provoked. However it was pretty complicated to get them to change from docile to hostile so that got cut for the early release. We are hoping we can get it back in soon.
The bugs are some known issues that we are trying to work out. The strange thing with the deer shooting off is that if you have tribe members collecting food they still realise where the body is and can collect from it, its just not there to the player so hopefully we can figure out what is going on there.
Thank you very much for your feedback, it is great to know what the biggest issues are so we can try and stamp them out straight away. We hope to have a new release sometime within the week so we hope these issues will be gone by then :)
Thanks again for your time

There are lots of nice ideas in this, I like how you click on the objects on the crafting table to build them instead of using a menu, I just find crafting menus a bit boring.

yeah those seem to be the main issues, at first I didn't realise that the berry bushes give you food or quite how eating worked so I ended up dying of hunger a couple of times before I finished the tutorial so possibly you could mention in the tutorial to collect some berrys and put them in your food pit. Also the hit animation loops but you only collect something on your first tap so it would make sense to either allow holding the button to collect or not looping the animation. And of course I cant wait for a saving option, but I understand that some of this feedback is a bit premature at this point, I have discovered what a seemingly endless task it is to make a game myself, I am making a game called Gravity Gobbler at the moment Indiedb.com

It is possible I might be able to help with the spear / deer problem if you wanted as I used a lot of rigidbodys in Gravity Gobbler so I have some vague ideas as to how it might happen.

Thanks again for the continue feedback it is really helpful.

We put in the next change log to suggest ways of gathering food in the tutorial prompts after you build your first carcass pit. We never considered the looping animations, I myself love spam clicking things but i can see why others would just prefer to hold it down.
The game looks really nice, have you been working on this solo? The controls are really out there after you get the hang of it its pretty cool. I got a bit stuck after the buzz saw robot so ill have to give it a better go later on.

I'm not sure but i think it might have something to do with where the spear hits the enemies that makes them rag doll. Any suggestions would help immensly.

Thanks again
