I have been lucky enough to test a beta version of the game. So here is some feedback for future players.
First : the game looks and feel really nice. It is a good way to jump straight in action for short sessions of strategy games.
Also, there is an innovative diplomacy feature. However, I am not sure that present rules have brought that diplomacy to its full potential yet. But maybe is it because I have only played at low difficulty levels...
That game worth a try for those who enjoy quick session strategy games.
Hello.
That looks interresting. However, be carefull when writting "With a gameplay mechanic never before seen... in this universe." : the game looks very much like pax-galaxia which has been around since a decade...
Also looks like mine Indiedb.com but still so they are quite different.
ps: I like the animations, are really amazing. I wish I could do something like that in a browser at a good fps.
Thanks! I'm glad people like it, when I first had the idea I was worried, since it makes absolutely no sense for planets to move around like that. It looks better at 60fps (I wish these videos supported that), and better still after some lighting improvements I made since the video.
Wow, crazy, I see your point... there certainly seem to be a lot of striking similarities! I wish I could play it, download links are broken. Do you happen to have a copy of the demo?
Yep, that link seems to be working : Sillysoft.net
And here is an old forum for the game : Rob13055.proboards.com
There were 3 important mecanisms appart from the feed line between the stars :
- Some ships are damaged and not destroyed. They can slowly be repaired
- When conquering a star with damaged ships, a portion of them is moved to neighbouring planets and are repaired (so, you can't conquere the full map just through breaking the main defense)
- But, if you conquere star where your enemy has no neighbour, his damaged ships become yours.
The game can still be purchased. But, I am not sure that the developper is easilly contacted
Thanks for that. The link is down (download is only a few bytes), but I was able to find a copy of the demo. Some of the similarities are very striking, but the differences are significant as well, overall I think it is a very different experience. I choose to stand by my claim :)
