Pine is an action adventure simulation game. Based in a world where humans never reached the top of the food chain, you play as a young adult named Hue, tasked with finding a new home for his reclining species. Through diplomacy, combat and exploration, Hue learns to work with and against a variety of tribes that are struggling for survival.
It's a pretty game with a lot of thought put into the design, but it self-destructs because combat is a core part of the game and the mobs were apparently never playtested by the dev's in a fight with the player. The player is subject to knockback/stun but the mobs are not. You'll be lucky to land a melee hit without being hit in return. Don't 1v1 a basic mob without a pocket full of recovery items.
I am happy that a small indie team can still produce a exemplary product. The graphics are pleasing to the eye and the controls respond well. I wish these 7 talented people much success.
