New 2D light isometric map! Checkout this time compressed lets build video.
Hi,
I have been busy adding an isometric feature to my game engine Alien Phoenix. It allows Phoenix USC to use 2D lighted isometric maps. I have put together a time compressed 'let's build a base' video that illustrates how easy it is to build a base using the in-game editor.
The editor is way early but still very functional and the video shows how easy it is to construct a project using a voxel style approach. I only have about a month of development time in isometric map support but the early results are pretty amazing. Checkout the video and see the new amazing 2D isometric map support in action.
I also have a pre-alpha demo of Phoenix available right now! Checkout the wonderful progress I have made on Phoenix USC and give this playable pre-alpha demo a try.

I have game play! The HUD works as described in recent posted images and when I'm killed by a bot I end up in safe zone. The game play is AWESOME! Feels just like SS/Continuum.
I have skill option which simply increases the shield energy cost from a bot weapon. Set it low for a newbie or high for a pro. Makes it pretty challenging and fun. You guys are going to love this. :D
I have a test HTML / webassembly game front-end going on ITCH.io. It’s sort of a place holder and allows me to test things. Check it out.

Early access - I am going to to setup a test version of the Phoenix USC pre-alpha demo in less then two weeks. I will be handing out download keys to those following me on FaceBook, Twitter, IndieDB and YouTube. So if you know someone who wants get in early and help test Phoenix USC have them follow (officially) me so they will be notified.
I am going to upload the demo to ITCH.io where I can control things a bit and use their analytics as well as offer things like early access. In the future the Phoenix USC website may host a version as well.
As soon as I have a clearer date I'll post it. I should have an article posted here about it soon. Spread the word. :D
