Salve! Pax Augusta is the most realistic ancient city builder to date.

Many buildings have been recreated 1:1 and can still be visited today as ruins. Historians, archaeologists, and many other active community members have supported the project with their expertise since the beginning.

As the empire expands its borders, skilled city leaders like you are sought to found new cities to solidify the Roman claim on the newly conquered land. On a freshly built empire road, you build a small settlement. With the construction of a harbor and a forum, you attract new inhabitants to the city. As your tax revenues increase, you start mining raw materials and construct new buildings to satisfy the population. Thermae, theaters, gladiator schools, slave markets, etc. serve not only to entertain your inhabitants but also to provide them with work. Import marble and other raw materials from distant regions and build monumental temples and palaces!

As a skillful city ruler, you will quickly attract the attention of the senate. The senate will assign you new provinces, which you have to settle. As you increase your private fortune, you will eventually be able to afford to become a senator. From then on you will also be involved in political intrigues. Of course, you can also instigate your intrigues, perhaps with enough money and power to get to the top title: Emperor of Rome.

Will you always remain a poor city governor or will you manage to become the most powerful man in the world? What awaits you in the game?

- You build historically accurate buildings.

- Sandbox mode.

- Story mode developed by historian.

- You can build defenses and strengthen them with towers and gates.

- Fire, crime, and population uprisings you must fight skillfully.

- Barbarian uprisings, locally stationed legions, or wars in distant parts of the empire will have an impact on your strategy.

- Capricious, benevolent, or profligate emperors will each have a strong influence on your life as a city ruler.

- Huge maps - you settle the northern borders of the empire - from Britannia to Dacia!

- And much more!
