In Party Hard, you play as someone who is really tired of the neighbors having loud parties. Instead of calling the police, you decide it’s a better idea to kill everyone – using your faithful knife and the environment. The tactical strategy follows a series of killings at parties through-ought the USA.

The developers used to work mostly on casual, family-friendly games - until they participated in a game jam, creating the first prototype for Party Hard. TinyBuild backed up the original developers – Pinokl Games – to create a full version that's now on Steam!

Party Hard has semi-procedural environments and focus on unique ways of killing people. In the greatest traditions of sneaking games, your main goal is not to get caught, while silently picking off unsuspecting victims one by one. Dancing and blending in during a suspicious situation is key.

  • A (not)serious story that follows a series of murders through the USA
  • 19 unique levels with random variations on each one

Yes, you can let your twitch viewers mess with you during Party Hard. They can trigger all sorts of chaos, like calling in more people to join the party, calling in SWAT, causing Sharknados, and more!

After over a year in development, the mobile version of Party Hard is now ready for testing. This is the full game as released on PC and consoles, and it works surprisingly well on a touch device.

We first spent some time testing with the fine folks at TouchArcade (thread here). The original idea was to keep it as much context sensitive as possible. So you'd have tap-to-move style controls:

This worked to a certain degree. The main issue was control in tight/fast situations. When you need to quickly do multiple stabs, or escape the cops while sprinting and avoiding obstacles -- that didn't really work. We'll keep this control scheme in as some users on smaller screens would prefer it.

The new virtual buttons control scheme though is ideal. As much as I usually don't like virtual buttons, this is next to perfect:
